We had a brief meeting at the Porter Davis office on Tuesday afternoon. We were in and out within 20 mins after running through a new building variation. It outlined some minor changes that have come about now that we are so close to construction. e.g. slight change in roof pitch, porch set back, removal of sarking (as we're no longer in a bushfire zone) and our nominated colour for our evap cooling unit. All of these minor changes thankfully resulted in no extra cost for us. The soil test results that they had ordered also gave us good news that our original site costs were correct and no need to pay extra...phhhheew
We expressed our frustration with the fact that our site start has not occurred during April (as
promised), and we were told that by early next week we will receive confirmation of our site start date...and can begin counting down our 120 days (build time) from the moment site scrape occurs.
So waiting..waiting.. we are so close now. Bring on the site scrape, portaloo and all the other things that suggest a new house is coming!
Fingers crossed we can move in end August or start Sept (would be a nice birthday present!)
